Buddy System MIA is a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to addressing food insecurity and improving nutrition access for vulnerable populations across Miami-Dade County through innovative, community-driven solutions. Funding from the Venable Foundation supports initiatives that allow more than 5,000 people in need to access basic nutrition and prepared meals through stocked refrigerators and food delivery programs. “Support from the Venable Foundation has helped us amplify the impact of our food access programming. This funding allowed us to expand our Community Fridge Initiative and our Homebound Food Access Program, ensuring that all residents have the necessary resources to lead healthy, dignified lives.
