Venable Foundation Annual Report | FY2024

Nina Greene | Partner When Nina Greene’s son, Randy, discovered Best Buddies in high school, it became more than just another extracurricular activity, but a lifelong community for them both. Randy, who has Down syndrome, has been connected to Best Buddies through many stages of his life. Nina was inspired to serve on the Best Buddies advisory board as she watched the organization help her son grow and foster his independence. She said it is “important as a lawyer to give back to the community— and, for me, it is rewarding to donate time to Best Buddies, an organization that has done so much for individuals like my son and his friends.” Best Buddies is a national organization that creates life-changing opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), through building friendships, finding employment opportunities, fostering professional development, and providing inclusive living. The Venable Foundation proudly supports Best Buddies’ programs and mission to help those with IDD live their most fulfilling and independent lives.
