40 Years of Giving 40th Anniversary $100,000 to 35 organizations $3,806,000 to 394 organizations This year, we celebrated the Venable Foundation’s 40th anniversary at our headquarters in Washington, DC, commemorating four decades of commitment, philanthropy, and giving back to the communities our attorneys, professionals, and clients call home. Leaders of the Venable Foundation reflected on the Foundation’s history and how its impact has evolved since 1983. In the Foundation’s first year of operation, the grants totaled $100,000 and supported 35 organizations in Baltimore and Washington, DC. In 2023, the Venable Foundation supported 394 nonprofits in six cities, donating $3.8 million to groups that reached 44 million people with their services over the course of the year.
