Bread for the City helps low-income Washington, DC residents develop the power to determine the future of their communities. The organization provides food, clothing, medical care, and legal and social services to reduce the burden of poverty for DC residents. “For over thirty years, the Venable Foundation has supported Bread for the City’s mission of ending poverty in Washington, DC. Their financial generosity has been significant— nearly $800,000 in sponsorships, grants, and capital campaign gifts—but their impact goes beyond dollars alone.
