While a majority of our class comes from our OCI process, we do accept write-ins. These applications are generally considered from mid-July to December 31. The Interview Process Screening interviews are held for qualified candidates, on campus, virtually, or in a Venable office. Eligible candidates may be invited for a call-back visit to meet with additional members of the firm. If you are invited to the firm, you will be contacted by the recruiting department to schedule a mutually convenient in-office or virtual interview. Call-back visits generally last two to three hours, and involve meeting with selected attorneys for approximately thirty minutes each. If you are interested in particular practice areas or have questions that may be best addressed by particular lawyers, please let us know, and we will work hard to accommodate those inquiries. Interview expenses beyond the initial screening phase are reimbursable and may include airfare, train fare, How to Apply ground transportation, and hotel accommodations, as well as mileage, tolls, and parking. We do not reimburse candidates for preliminary interviews. The hiring committee makes every effort to get back to each candidate as quickly as possible, and the recruiting team keeps all candidates updated throughout the interview process.
